Welcome to the Libertia web site home of the first Alaskan Malamute show kennels in Ireland and a founder kennel of the Alaskan Malamute Club of Ireland A.M.C.I.
Libertia is a small but ever increasing family run show kennels …… it is a hobby that has expanded with our passion to give both us and those who know our dogs many hours of pleasure and unequivocal love.
We currently are home to the most successful Malamute show kennels in Ireland with titles such as Annual champion 07/08, Celtic winner titles, also CACIB winners, the 1st Male Junior Champion in Ireland and numerous champion titles: IKC, Luxembourg, Bulgarian etc...
To date we have bred Champions, International Champion and group place winners .
Our aim at Libertia is to enjoy our dogs who are very much a part of our family first most, and secondly as our show team.
Through our passion we have made some wonderful new friends which in turn has enabled us to import and incorporate lines from some of the most prolific kennels in the world such as Del Biagio, Starring Maat Alaskan, Shamanrock, Al Qantarah, Jungla Negra and del Lago orsi which we believe these will help to improve and compliment our existing lines, through our investment and time we have aimed to incorporate healthy dogs with excellent temperament, correct conformation and movement !
This will endorse the successful future of the breed in our kennels!
To see one is to want one… When I first saw one I was captured by and admired
their wolf like qualities… they have primitive qualities about them that draws you
in. Having been involved with working breeds for over 20 years I found in the malamutes
a need to know more about this wonderful breed and how they evolved, so through years
of research and visiting many European kennels as a family we made the choice to
